• TRACKING TRIGGERS •

I used to hate Mark Zuckerberg for having gotten rich by making me feel my life was utterly inadequate. Every time I saw another beautiful vacation photo, yummy dinner, or fancy car, I felt rotten. It got to the point that I swore off Facebook for about nine months.

When I came back, I decided it would only be on my own terms. I started using Facebook as a journal, recording the glorious, brilliant, and even knuckleheaded things my kids said and did (#WhyImNotDead). And I started getting involved in groups.

One of the Facebook Groups I'm a member of is Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) Support and like the name would lead you to believe, it's full of people just like you and me –– meaning parents of SPD kids. Some of those people are way ahead of you and me. Like Beth Elliot who went to the trouble of putting together a chart you can use to keep track of the things that trigger your child. She's so generous, she shared her chart with the group and I'm now sharing it with you.

Thank you, Beth.

And thank you, Mark Zuckerberg, for creating a forum for me to encounter Beth.
